This is my blog:

Straight-up:  This blog is a school assignment, but just in case you’re here by accident and feel like hangin out, you are  free to comment.

I go to school and keep a GPA of around 3.5. I could probably get it higher, but work a couple of jobs too so I’m pretty spent. I work part-time at McDonalds and most weekends I throw boxes at UPs, where my dad has worked for about 20 years.

I plan to have a hecka-chedda by the time I hit 25 so I’m getting on it now.

I know a lot of rebel kids my age. I’m mostly a pretty respectful kid.  I do enough to keep my parents happy, so we gel. I’ve seen my parents work my whole life, so I know that’s the only way to get what I need out of my life. Not that I really want to work; I just get that I have to work to get paid.

As long as keep my grades above a 3.5, I don’t need to spend a cent of what I make. My parents paid for my laptop, iPod and my cell phone. They just say, “You gotta keep your grades up to keep em.” And my grampa gave me his old hooptie. It’s a phat, mad, puff, pimp ride. OK. It gets me around. He’s a pretty cool old dude.

Working isn’t just all about the money for me. Business rocks! From Franchises to Pyramid Schemes, it’s crazy  -all the ways people do business and the way they all tax each other.

They call my generation ‘logged-on and linked-up,’ which pretty much describes me. I take a lot of business classes, so I’m always on a word.doc, excel or programs like that for school and I keep outlook open in the background, since IM is mostly how I hook up with my peep during school.

About the way I came up with the title of this blog: I had this school assignment last week to write an analogy about my life and this is what I came up with. Maybe you get it. Maybe you won’t, but here goes anyways.

My Life is a Drop Down Menu. I go on-line a lot to read up on business sites. So I log-on, link-up and GOOGLE few words, then hit enter and Whoa!  I’m linked to results 1 – 10 of about 8,460,378,910. So I just randomly click down the list, then hit the back button and go back and forth until I find what I’m after.

But! If I don’t take the time to run maintenance on my machine, I slowly log-on, and I might get on-line. If I do get on, when I hit enter nothing happens, all because I let my computer get fragmented. It’s jacked. So there I am doing nothing so my only option is to hit ctrl+alt+delete …  ‘end task’ … close all running programs … open ‘system tools’ … and ‘defragment’, which takes a while. This time, before I close out, I schedule weekly system maintenance on my computer.

So there it is. If you don’t get it, no big.  My teacher did, so she gave me an A.

I’m out-
